We have amazing events coming up this weekend as we ramp up for a busy week ahead!
May 17- Scream Queens with Christina Li!
Please join us for Queens Launch of The Manor of Dreams! All those who RSVP will be receiving an exclusive sticker! This is an amazing gothic horror novel touching on generational trauma through this house and trauma.
One of our favorites with our staff review:
An engaging mystery filled with a little bit of everything. Once you open this book you are immediately sucked into this world.
The Manor of Dreams peels back the promises of the American Dream to reveal something more painful, more heartbreaking, and ultimately, more true. An ambitious, evocative meditation on the hurts passed down across generations--and how we heal." --Grace D. Li, New York Times bestselling author of Portrait of a Thief
May 17: A Re-Mapping of Womanhood and Creativity with Clara Oropeza
Make sure to join us for this important conversation with Clara Oropeza who will be in conversation with Ana Oropeza-Parra!
A Re-mapping of Womanhood and Creativity investigates the diverse ways in which women set out to find a matrilineal line as a wellspring for creative transformation, and, through a lens of analytical psychology, how we read women’s literary history and narratives about womanhood.
Combining literature, myth and psychology, this book will be an illuminating read for students, scholars and professionals in the areas of literature, psychoanalysis and mythology. This book will be crucial reading for women, in particular women of color, interested in the process of individuation, creativity and womanhood.
